Looks like a costume to me.
Lots of red flags in this one first to me is - Why hold the press coverage in Palo Alto and not closer to home?

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/17I don't believe it. I do believe that theres a very good possibility of Bigfoots existence, but this is very fishy and lacks logic.

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/21'Caveat Emptor'
Whoever paid those 2 guys the 'undisclosed sum' shouldn't expect to get any of it back.
If I were the judge, I wouldn't award them anything.
I mean.. the official story is still that Bigfoot is nothing but someone in a costume, so what these 2 guys displayed was the physical essence of the creature as it currently legally exists; they showed what is left of Bigfoot after life has left the body, and that's FAIR.
Anyway... they were paid for the publicity surrounding the claim, not for the veracity of the claim itself.... and there was publicity; publicity surrounded the 'alleged carcass'.
Most of all, a judge should be able to tell 'Searching For Bigfoot Inc.' that they effectively solicit behavior such as that shown in this case, by the mere existence and name of their organization.
Legally speaking, they 'found Bigfoot'. If they don't like what they found, that's just a tough shit.

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/21Not to any ones surprise it was a hoax.

Now if your interested in some antique photographs of gnomes and fairies........................ -

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/23LOL they want to prosecute! that's funny! Look folks I would love to see something of this magnitude discovered too, but I HIGHLY doubt it will happen. If you pay someone $50,000.00 for a rubber popsicle then YOU ARE RETARDED and don't deserve your money back.
P.S. If you buy those pictures of gnomes and faries right now I'll throw in some land in Florida at no extra charge......but wait there's more, act right now and I will double your offer..... -

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/23It's like trying to bring fraud charges against a porn star for faking an orgasm.
To reiterate:
Bigfoot is FAKE because the law says Bigfoot is FAKE.
Therefore, when you find Bigfoot, you inevitably find that Bigfoot is FAKE.
And if you pay for the publicity surrounding a Bigfoot body, you are inevitably paying for the publicity surrounding a FAKE Bigfoot body.
The law tells you as much, even before the phone rings. If you ignore the law when you pick up the phone, that's on YOU.
How could this be any clearer?

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/24Wait, what law are you talking about?
Georgia law, or US Federal law? -
-
Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/24If either entity recognized Bigfoot as a living species, Bigfoot would be on the endangered species list.

Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/24Under any law its called fraud. At Fifty Grand thats a felony. -
-
Re: Bigfoot Body?
08/30The fifty grand was for all publicity connected with the alleged corpse.
Isn't that what they got? -
-
Re: Bigfoot Body?
09/02That's exactly what they paid for, and exactly what they got.
